Jacqueline is an abstract metalsmith and sculpture artist. Within her jewelry she specializes in sterling silver. By using the process of lost wax casting along with traditional fabrication, her work is an evolution and extension of who she is as an artist. Her work is always made with intention while she sculpts with form, movement, and body in mind.
My work is rooted in the continuous exploration and expression of being a woman, with an emphasis on navigating how it would look for women to take up more space. Existing as a woman is a heartbreaking, yet beautiful, mystical and deeply emotional experience. Throughout my career I have explored a variety of different mediums and techniques, from perfecting my artistry as a metalsmith using lost wax casting and traditional fabrication, to producing an art film, to exploring poetry, painting, and sculpture. I am consistently pulled towards conceptual art and I seek to continually expand my artisty through study and the broadening of my artistic perspective. - J
